Darts, billiards, badminton or table football as a hobby, for professionals or in a club

What do badminton, billiards, darts and table football have in common? The playing field is small, the emotions are big! Whether you are an amateur sportsman, a competitive player or a top athlete: With us, you can easily and simply use a room for your passion. We will be happy to show you how you can make the most of our rooms.

Darts has become increasingly popular in recent years. It was only in 2022 that a woman played in a televised darts world championship for the first time and won several rounds, which was a sensation as this throwing sport is dominated by men. However, darts is not only interesting for professionals. It is also a popular game of skill in the private sphere and is played regularly in many private households. What's more, there are now over 50 darts clubs in Switzerland alone! This is not surprising, as this sport can be played by anyone, so even amateurs can identify with their idols. This year's Darts World Cup will take place from 15 December 2023 and will once again attract many fans to the screens and, of course, to the darts discs.

If you're quick, you can also rent a suitable hobby room from Room4U to play darts, billiards, badminton or table football.

Differences in darts

In the darts community, arguments about which variant is the "one and only" are as natural as the Amen in church. Yet both forms have their raison d'être and appeal to different target groups.

Driven by the rapidly growing popularity of steel darts, the sport is primarily attracting young players. This is due to the strong media interest in major tournaments and championships. Steeldart currently epitomises the competitive side of darts.

Although soft darts also has a competitive character, its image as a popular party game for young and old or a pastime in the pub remains popular among the masses. Not least because of its popularity in bars and pubs, soft darts is finding it difficult to gain a place as a recognised and serious sport.

However, this is only the tip of the iceberg. In the following, I would like to shed some light on what the two sports have in common and where the fundamental differences lie. Further link (source): https://dart21.de/ratgeber/e-dart-oder-steeldart/
